• 4-hour Experience:
  Lost Wax Sculpting jewelry workshop
  Create your own custom necklace pendant prototype
  Enjoy snacks and beverages
  Connect with new friends in the local community
• Full production of your necklace: at the end of the workshop, I'll collect your pendant prototype (in jeweller's wax) and over the course of 4 weeks, will cast and complete / polish your pendant in sterling silver, pair it with a chain, package and mail it to you via Canada Post. Wear and enjoy your final necklace, forever!
  
• Important: Registration cost includes a pendant up to 2.5g in sterling silver (plus 18" chain) — as a reference, see photo #5 of designs by our last attendees that are within this size range. Extra charge of $20 / gram will be applied to pendants exceeding 2.5g. For a final piece in gold-plated or solid gold at additional cost, email allison@cadettejewelry.com.

FAQ —

Q: Is this beginner-friendly?
A: Yes! I will be showing you the easiest, and most fun way to hand-sculpt your own pendant in jeweller's wax (as part of the 'lost wax casting' approach to jewellery-making). This is a method I'm so passionate about – and what has been the foundation for some of Cadette's most coveted, artful designs. The video above shows designs created by our last workshop's attendees who were all beginners.

Q: Can my final piece be in silver or gold?
A: This workshop automatically includes the finished necklace in sterling silver. It can be completed in solid gold at an additional cost. Email allison@cadettejewelry.com for this option.

Q: Are we doing the whole 'lost wax casting' process during the workshop?
A: No, we'll only be doing the 'fun' part of the process ;) Which includes: cutting-out your desired shape / form in jeweller's wax, then gently molding it by hand, i.e. subtle curves and details. But I will still explain a brief overview on what the full process entails. At the end of the workshop, I'll collect everyone's wax prototypes and have them casted / converted into silver and polished to its final, wearable state. I'll add a chain to your pendants, and then mail it directly to you (approx. 4 weeks after the workshop). All of this is included in the registration price.
